Baby Step 5

Today i was supposed to write down the negative things i hear. The only one i can think of is that I am lazy, but that can be changed. I didnt get dressed to the shoes today. I did do ALL the laundry in the house, including folding and putting away. And I started my Bible reading like I wanted to. :)

Baby step 4

Happy New Year! I did nothing today. Baby step 4 is the one about putting post it notes up but I dont really want the notes everywhere so i skipped it. :/

Baby step 3

Today's baby step was an easy one - do what you have already done. Getting dressed to the shoes was easy enough because we got up early this morning to go to EdVenture which is a little more than 2 hours away. We had a lot of fun. :) I just finished shining my sink so I am going to finish watching Extreme Couponing and go to bed.

Progress Not Perfection

Instead of looking at all the things I still have to do around here, tonight I took a minute to look at what I had accomplished over the past few days. The kitchen is pretty clean - just needs sweeping, the living room is decent, my bedroom is OK, Maleah's bedroom is still spotless, Tre's bedroom is clean, my sink is shining, my laundry pile is manageable. Tomorrow we are going away for the day and I am ready. Our clothes are picked out, the kids DS games are charging, the trip is planned, and I even cooked muffins tonight so breakfast will be ready for tomorrow. I am going to put the address into my phone/GPS so it is ready to go when we are and go to bed. Progress not perfection. :)

Babystep 2

Today was get dressed to the shoes. Normally i have to be at work at 6 am but i am off work this week so yesterday i didn't get out of my pajamas. I was going to do this anyway today because it is Wednesday and i had church but i made sure to do it as soon as i got up. Tomorrow we are going to Edventure in SC so i will be getting up early. I also semi meal planned tonight using the sale paper. :)

Babystep 1

Before:

After:

Babystep 1 is complete. I am not blown away by the transformation but I guess doing it is what counts. I didn't have any SOS pads and no Comet so I used Baking Soda. Oh well, it will do.

Cooking

One thing i always plan to do and never do is cook. I hate to admit it but we are a TV dinner kind of family. ;/ Trying to break that habit starting tonight. Here is the recipe:

Cheesy Chicken Breasts
2 cans cream of chicken soup
3 oz garlic croutons
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
6 oz shredded Monterey Jack cheese

Place one can of chicken soup in a greased baking dish. Sprinkle with croutons. Layer the chicken breasts on top. Sprinkle with cheese. Spread with the second can of soup. Bake @ 325 degrees for 1 hour, or until the chicken is cooked through.

After I eat I am going to do baby step 1 - shine my sink. Hoping I have something to clean it with.
